EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:  We highly recommend clients to complete the homebuyer education before enrolling in 1-on-1 counseling. It is recommended to both new and returning clients. Homebuyer education will provide you with the foundational knowledge necessary to understand the commitment — financial and personal— of purchasing a home.

Pre-purchase counseling is for homebuyers who want to review their personal goals, finances, and options with a HUD-certified housing counselor.

During a one-on-one pre-purchase session you’ll explore what your price range is, assistance programs that could make your home purchase more affordable, and how to improve your finances before applying for a loan.
