Jada Grandy is Senior Vice President and Community Reinvestment Act Strategies Director at Fifth Third Bank. Jada is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and leads the community development and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Compliance strategic initiatives in 23 markets throughout Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia. Jada’s focus includes driving the bank’s affordable housing, small business, community banking services, and philanthropic strategies with a focus on low- to moderate-income communities. Under Jada’s leadership, the bank has implemented innovative comprehensive community development strategies and she was instrumental in establishing Fifth Third Bank’s $30 Billion community commitment, the largest in the bank’s history.
Prior to her role at Fifth Third, Jada held a Bank Examiner role where she provided regulatory oversight to ensure safe and sound operations of banks throughout the national banking system.
Jada has over 15 years of banking experience including commercial lending, credit risk management, regulatory compliance risk management and community development banking. Her banking experience also includes working as a small business banking relationship manager by providing them with the financing tools necessary to grow and manage their businesses successfully.
As an active community leader, Jada is also very involved in the community and serves as a director on numerous civic boards, including the Carolinas Small Business Development Fund, YWCA of Central Carolinas, Urban League of Central Carolinas, and Renaissance West Community Initiative. She is also a graduate of Leadership Charlotte Class 34.
Jada has been recognized numerous times for her professional and civic contributions and thought leadership throughout her career. She’s received the Women’s Financial Empowerment Award, the Urban League Young Professionals of Central Carolinas 2013 Leadership Award, the Women of Achievement Award in Banking in 2011 and named one of the New Pittsburgh Courier Top 40 under 40 professionals in 2009, amongst others.
She holds a B.S./B.A. in Finance and an MBA in Management, both from Robert Morris University. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jada currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband Lionel, and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
