Reinvestment Partners purchased the historic Harriet Tubman YWCA -- condemned and facing imminent demolition -- through foreclosure proceedings in September 2019. Built in 1953, the Y played an important role in the African-American community during segregation.
The building has been vacant and inactive for 30 years. We will renovate the property to preserve the community history, stabilize the neighborhood, and provide affordable housing. Once revitalized, the building will fulfill its original mission of serving its community.
